Senior Application Engineer – Machine Tool Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provide support to the Machine Tool Industry business while offering technical assistance for key accounts and projects.

• Oversee and manage customer projects, including turnkey solutions, tooling, and process enhancements.

• Establish and support the scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables of project management.

• Facilitate coordination among cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, sales, etc.) for effective project management.

• Gain a deep understanding of customers' business, technology, and product needs to align Kennametal tooling solutions, products, and services accordingly.

• Surpass customer expectations in terms of Kennametal service levels, technical expertise, and value-added services.

• Conduct sales forecasting, account planning, and other administrative duties aimed at fostering profitable business growth.

• Leverage and understand company resources effectively.

• Demonstrate continuous improvement in technical knowledge, product understanding, and selling skills.

• Cultivate impactful customer relationships with existing accounts to increase market share.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

• 5 to 7+ years of successful field or manufacturing experience within the metal cutting sector.

• Preferred experience with OEM machine tool manufacturers.

• Background in a comprehensive technical manufacturing environment is essential.

• Proficient in identifying and evaluating customer needs.

• Skilled in understanding and conveying all product and technical information.

• Capable of interpreting and communicating complex contract conditions.

• Able to operate independently with minimal supervision.

• Possess well-developed interpersonal skills that foster teamwork and clear communication.

• Valid driver's license is required.
