This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical evaluation and response for intricate VFD systems/STATCOM/Synchronous condenser tenders.
• Create thorough and precise technical cost estimates covering our complete scope.
• Execute detailed site assessments to comprehend existing infrastructure and collect essential data for system design.
• Formulate extensive system architectures for the integration of VFD systems/STATCOM/Synchronous condenser.
• Convert customer functional and technical requirements from tenders into comprehensive system designs and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with sales and commercial teams to accurately define the technical scope.
• Establish and oversee technical interfaces with other OEMs and sub-suppliers.
• Actively identify potential technical, logistical, and cost-related risks linked to integrated solutions.
• Clearly and effectively present complex technical solutions to customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the enhancement and development of internal technical standards, tools, and best practices.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• At least 10 years of experience relevant to the position.
• Experience in project engineering, application engineering, or technical sales support for high-power electrical equipment, particularly in VFD systems/STATCOM/Synchronous condenser.
• Extensive knowledge of power electronics, power system dynamics, grid codes, and international standards applicable to VFD systems/STATCOM/Synchronous condenser applications.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale EPC tenders and a thorough understanding of the extended Balance of Plant (BOP) scope in power plants, renewable energy, or heavy industrial settings.
• Strong grasp of control systems, communication protocols, and network architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Established experience with cost estimation techniques, quotation preparation, and supporting technical-commercial negotiations for complex electrical systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time as required for site surveys, customer engagements, and internal meetings.
