This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offers enterprise-level support for application and data-flow architecture pertinent to government IT systems.
• Accountable for mapping application interdependencies, constructing secure and scalable application ecosystems, documenting data flow, and ensuring application architectures are in line with enterprise standards and mission goals.
• Acts as the technical expert for application integration, system interoperability, and modernization projects.
• Directs the planning and design of enterprise application and data architecture.
• Conducts quarterly evaluations of application ecosystems and system integrations.
• Engages in the discovery of application dependencies, interfaces, and data exchanges.
• Creates and maintains comprehensive layered documentation of application architecture, which includes:
• - Conceptual system views
• - Logical application architectures
• - Physical deployment models
• - Data flow diagrams
• Designs secure, scalable, and resilient application environments.
• Develops API frameworks, middleware, and integration platforms.
• Assists in modernization, cloud migration, and system consolidation efforts.
• Evaluates legacy systems and suggests modernization strategies.
• Constructs architectures for application redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery.
• Supports DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD integrations.
• Guarantees compliance with cybersecurity, RMF, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with network, database, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Aids in system change reviews and technical governance boards.
• Provides impact analysis for proposed system modifications.
• Maintains enterprise application standards and reference architectures.
• Assists with incident response and root cause analyses related to application failures.
• Delivers architecture assessments and recommendations to leadership.
• Performs additional duties as needed and assigned.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and engineering.
• Possession of CompTIA Security+ certification or higher.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in supporting large-scale government or enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with:
• - Cloud and hybrid application environments
• - Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes / Openshift)
• - Virtualized application platforms
• - Enterprise data integration
• Experience in supporting RMF, STIG, and NIST standards.
• Strong skills in technical writing and briefing.
• Active U.S. Government Clearance or capability to obtain one.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
