Senior Android Engineer, Kotlin, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance production-grade native Android applications.

• Create high-quality mobile solutions primarily utilizing Kotlin and contemporary Android development methodologies.

• Collaborate with Architects and Engineering Managers to convert technical requirements into scalable solutions.

• Implement suitable application architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.

• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, cloud services, SDKs, and external platforms.

• Contribute to mobile initiatives related to tracking, attribution, deep linking, in-app experiences, and optimizing the customer journey.

• Write production-ready, thoroughly tested, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Develop and maintain automated testing for mobile applications.

• Contribute to and manage CI/CD pipelines that support the delivery of Android applications.

• Engage with AWS services and cloud-native architectures that underpin mobile applications.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across development, staging, and production environments.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations.

• Work directly with customer engineering teams, effectively communicating technical decisions, progress, risks, and trade-offs.

• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of development practices, architecture, and delivery processes.

• Continuously refine and improve the user experience of mobile applications.

• Significant professional experience in developing production-quality native Android applications.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kotlin.

• Strong comprehension of Android application architecture and software design patterns.

• Experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting production applications.

• Familiarity with integrating mobile applications with APIs, SDKs, and backend/cloud services.

• Robust experience working within AWS cloud environments.

• Experience with CI/CD and automation of mobile application delivery.

• Solid understanding of testing and software quality assurance practices.

• Experience in Agile software development settings.

• Excellent customer-facing communication abilities.

• Capability to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in building and supporting production mobile applications.

• Understanding of the application lifecycle.

• Experience in writing, reviewing, and deploying production-quality code.

• Experience troubleshooting applications in development and production environments.

• Experience participating in code reviews.

• Java experience, particularly in supporting or modernizing legacy Android applications (Nice to Have).

• Experience with mobile attribution and analytics technologies (Nice to Have).

• Experience implementing mobile deep linking (Nice to Have).

• Experience integrating third-party mobile SDKs (Nice to Have).

• Experience with Firebase (Nice to Have).

• Experience with AppsFlyer or similar attribution platforms (Nice to Have).

• Experience with CDP or customer-data integrations (Nice to Have).

• Experience working on marketing technology or conversion-related mobile initiatives (Nice to Have).

• Experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, or Python (Nice to Have).

• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies (Nice to Have).
