Senior Analytics Engineer, Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the long-term strategy for the Intelligence offering, encompassing data models, analytics, and insights for customers.

• Collaborate with the Product team to develop a roadmap for our data science initiatives.

• Provide insights and tools for what-if analysis tailored for our C-Suite clients.

• Define architectural principles, analytical standards, and operational methodologies that enable scalable and credible Intelligence solutions.

• Design and refine the data architecture and canonical data model that supports Intelligence, enhancing an existing data warehouse.

• Create and deliver data science projects: predictive signals, pattern recognition, and automated insights that significantly impact our clients.

• Develop and present dashboards that customers can trust and depend on.

• Oversee the entire analytics engineering process: modeling data, optimizing queries, version control, and reviewing changes prior to customer release.

• Implement tools and processes that accelerate development while enhancing quality and consistency.

• Work closely with Engineering to integrate Intelligence features into the product.

• Interact directly with customers to comprehend reporting requirements, clarify insights, and affirm value.

• Assist the Commercial and Operations teams with insights that support upselling, renewals, and informed decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in applying data science skills: adept at developing predictive models, identifying patterns, and deploying ML/AI features into production.

• Exceptional SQL and data modeling abilities; capable of designing, refining, and optimizing data warehouse structures.

• Proven experience in delivering customer-facing dashboards (such as Metabase or similar) where both accuracy and performance are critical.

• Hands-on experience with query optimization, version control, and structured analytics development methodologies.

• Demonstrated history of influencing product direction or roadmap for a data product, intelligence layer, or analytics solution.

• Comfortable expressing strong opinions on what should be built (and what should not) while garnering support from others.

• Senior individual contributor with the credibility to establish standards and lead through influence now, with aspirations to build and manage a team in the future.

• A strong systems thinker, pragmatic problem solver, collaborative, respectful, and decisive when necessary.
