Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain data models in dbt that act as reliable sources of truth for the organization.

• Craft clear, optimized, and thoroughly tested SQL, which is essential to the role.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of our data sources, including property management, accounting, and operational systems, and become the go-to expert on their intricacies.

• Construct dashboards and reports for business stakeholders, collaborating with them to translate ambiguous questions into clear, data-driven answers.

• Write and execute Python scripts to automate processes, transfer data, and reduce manual tasks.

• Adhere to contemporary development practices: version control using Git/GitHub, code reviews, CI/CD, documentation, and data quality testing.

• Actively monitor and enhance data quality, identifying issues before they affect the business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of SQL: handling complex transformations, utilizing window functions, performance optimization, and a strong intuition for data modeling.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation, including writing, executing, and debugging your own tools.

• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, CI/CD, and modern development workflows (branches, pull requests, code reviews).

• Experience in creating dashboards and reports for business stakeholders (using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) and effectively communicating insights.

• Strong command of written and spoken English; comfortable working asynchronously with a US-based team.

• Familiarity with dbt and the modern data stack (including Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud warehouses; Fivetran; and orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster).

• Background in finance or real estate, with an understanding of financial statements, terminology, and metrics.

• Practical experience with Yardi data or other data from real estate platforms (this is a significant advantage).
