Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead intricate technical implementations, designing data architecture and transformation pipelines for enhanced performance, maintainability, and reusability.

• Promote the adoption of best practices in dbt development, testing, and CI/CD processes.

• Provide mentorship to colleagues through code reviews, collaborative programming, and technical support.

• Engage in the development of internal tools, shared dbt packages, and scalable analytics engineering frameworks.

• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to convert business requirements into data models and semantic layers.

• Act as a technical and strategic consultant in cross-functional planning initiatives.

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of analytics engineering workstreams that align with client goals.

• Tackle systemic data quality and modeling challenges with sustainable solutions.

• Enhance performance, minimize technical debt, and contribute to established standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in programming languages such as SQL and Python.

• Experience with business intelligence platforms like PowerBI and Sigma.

• Required: Expert proficiency in dbt.

• Required: Expert knowledge of data modeling strategies and philosophies (e.g., Kimball, OBT).

• Required: Expert proficiency with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).

• Required: Expert proficiency in version control and git.

• Familiarity with common data integration patterns (e.g., CDC, ELT).

• Knowledge of popular data integration/orchestration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Dagster, Apache Airflow).

• Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
