Senior Frontend Engineer, Analytics Product Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the frontend technical lead for CMG’s DataLab product and provide guidance for the Mission Control team in the Western Hemisphere.

• Engage with the frontend development harness, utilizing it daily, and advocate for its use within the team.

• Create and sustain intricate, scalable user interfaces for web applications utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with the cross-functional product team to identify optimal solutions across role boundaries.

• Direct frontend architecture, component design, accessibility, performance, and enhancements in developer experience.

• Contribute to product quality through unit, component, and end-to-end tests.

• Work alongside product managers, back-end engineers, and engineering leaders.

• Convert complex business requirements into clean, maintainable code.

• Establish best practices for UI development and advocate for design consistency, accessibility, and product quality.

• Lead frontend technical direction through research, prototyping, code reviews, and production-quality implementations.

• Utilize modern agentic coding tools to expedite delivery, enhance code quality, explore solutions, and increase engineering leverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• React: 5+ years of experience.

• TypeScript: 5+ years of experience.

• Software engineering: 10+ years of experience.

• Proven experience in leading frontend technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and establishing UI architecture standards.

• Demonstrated capability to effectively use agentic coding tools such as Claude, Codex, and CoPilot, while upholding high standards for correctness, security, maintainability, and team collaboration.

• Expected to have solid full-stack experience, including Node.js or an equivalent; CMG operates within a .NET environment.

• Experience in the fintech sector is a plus.

• Familiarity with GraphQL.

• Experience with Nx monorepo.

• Proficiency with Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and Storybook.

• Experience with Material UI.

• Background in unit, component, and end-to-end testing.
