Senior Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• In the role of Senior Analytics Engineer within Wellhub's Partner Data & Insights team in Brazil, you will be positioned at the crossroads of data engineering, applied AI, and business analytics.

• This position offers a high degree of autonomy and technical depth, concentrating on the development and enhancement of the data infrastructure that informs decision-making within our Partners business.

• You will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining resilient data pipelines within a data mesh architecture, modeling our semantic/BI layer, and developing AI-powered features — such as data/AI agents — that amplify the overall impact of the team.

• Collaboration with analysts and stakeholders will be essential, as you translate ambiguous, rapidly changing requirements into dependable pipelines that support our data assets, while applying an analytical perspective when beneficial.

• You will take ownership of technical tasks from start to finish, transforming unclear problems into production-ready solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or closely related domains, with significant practical experience in complex pipelines, data modeling, and data architecture.

• Proficient in SQL and production-level Python (automation pipelines, not merely exploratory code).

• Strong understanding of the complete data lifecycle; experience in a data mesh (or similarly decentralized) architecture is highly advantageous.

• Hands-on experience with a semantic layer or BI modeling tool (LookML/Looker is strongly preferred).

• Practical understanding of AI/LLMs: knowledge of how LLMs utilize structured context, and experience in designing context for AI agents (crafting instructions, defining boundaries, building agent functionalities).

• Demonstrated autonomy and organizational skills — excels in unstructured, high-demand settings and prioritizes effectively.

• Strong execution and accountability, managing tasks from ambiguous challenges to reliable solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
