Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive, executive-oriented dashboards to facilitate crucial business and operational decision-making.

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable data models, semantic layers, and reporting datasets utilizing dbt, Looker, SQL, and similar tools.

• Employ data modeling, statistical analysis, and analytical techniques to examine extensive datasets and uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.

• Oversee and enhance the Looker data analytics platform.

• Take ownership of the complete delivery process for analytics engineering projects, from gathering requirements to implementation.

• Coordinate timelines, manage dependencies, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, business intelligence, finance, operations, and other stakeholders on metrics, analytics needs, reporting solutions, and data integrity.

• Detect and rectify data quality issues through validation checks and enhancements in analytics processes/tools.

• Generate and uphold documentation for metrics, data models, dashboards, business logic, and analytics workflows.

• Guide junior analytics engineers, participate in code reviews, and elevate team standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• 4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or as a data analytics/business intelligence professional, focusing on data analysis, data modeling, reporting, and dashboards.

• 4 years of professional experience in crafting, optimizing, and executing SQL queries to analyze large datasets and support reporting and analytics.

• 4 years of professional experience in designing, building, and maintaining business intelligence dashboards and reports utilizing Looker or Tableau.

• 4 years of professional experience conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets to assist in business decision-making.

• 4 years of professional experience creating dashboards or reports to aid business and operational decision-making.

• 3 years of professional experience in designing and maintaining data models to facilitate analytics and reporting.

• 2 years of professional experience working with data infrastructure elements, including ETL/ELT processes and analytics platforms.

• 2 years of professional experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to establish analytics requirements and reporting solutions.

• 2 years of professional experience in presenting analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
