📋 Description

• Instrument and enhance raw telemetry for AI utilization, making code modifications, managing CI/CD activities, and overseeing expenditures.

• Collaborate with data engineers to manage production ETL pipelines, monitor data freshness, perform backfills, and set up alerting systems.

• Define and assess metrics derived from ambiguous or evolving signals.

• Create executive-oriented dashboards and visualizations.

• Analyze metrics, foresee executive inquiries, and offer strategic recommendations.

• Transform technical insights into clear narratives suitable for executive audiences.

• Utilize AI coding agents to develop, test, and maintain pipelines, dashboards, and analyses.

• Work in partnership with data engineering, applied AI, and data science teams.

• Identify instances of ineffective AI spending or costly developer friction, and drive enhancements.

• Create methodologies to quantify the impact of AI and agent productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence, managing production data pipelines and insights from start to finish.

• Proficient in SQL and Python, with practical experience in building and operating data pipelines for cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.

• Proven experience collaborating with engineering teams to instrument new events or telemetry data.

• Skilled in developing dashboards or internal tools that non-technical stakeholders depend on for decision-making.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD systems, and troubleshooting production pipeline failures, including retries and backfills.

• Experience with a metrics-governance or semantic-layer system, such as a metrics store, dbt semantic layer, or LookML (preferably).

• Ability to leverage AI coding agents and rigorously assess their outputs.

• Knowledge of TypeScript and React, governed metrics stores, and LLM-based classification tools (technologies that are both used and taught).
