📋 Description

• Instrument and enhance raw telemetry concerning AI utilization, code modifications, CI/CD activities, and expenditures.

• Collaborate with data engineers on production ETL pipelines, monitoring freshness, executing backfills, and setting up alerts.

• Define and validate metrics derived from ambiguous or evolving signals.

• Create and deliver executive-facing dashboards and visualizations.

• Analyze metrics, anticipate inquiries from executives, and offer recommendations.

• Translate complex technical insights into clear narratives for executives.

• Utilize AI coding agents to develop, test, and maintain pipelines, dashboards, and analyses.

• Collaborate with data engineering, applied AI, and data science teams.

• Identify instances where AI expenditures are not yielding returns or where developer friction incurs high costs, and initiate improvements.

• Measure the impact of AI and agent productivity and assist in establishing industry benchmarks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence, managing production data pipelines and insights from start to finish.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Practical experience in constructing and managing data pipelines for a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake.

• Proven experience collaborating with engineering teams to instrument new event or telemetry data.

• Experience in developing dashboards or internal tools that non-technical stakeholders depend on for decision-making.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD systems, and troubleshooting production pipeline failures, including retries and backfills.

• Experience with metrics-governance or semantic-layer systems, such as a metrics store, dbt semantic layer, or LookML, is a plus.

• Proficiency in AI-first workflows and the strategic use of AI coding agents.

• Technologies include SQL (Snowflake), Python, TypeScript, React, Git, CI/CD pipelines, a governed metrics store, AI coding agents, and LLM-based classification tools.
