Senior Analyst, Strategic Materials Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Convert market, pricing, consumption, supplier, and operational information into insights that bolster the materials sourcing strategy.

• Create and sustain category analyses, pricing models, expenditure analyses, and market benchmarks.

• Manage ongoing market intelligence reporting that utilizes supply, demand, commodity, production, and macroeconomic indicators.

• Develop seasonal and multi-year material forecasts incorporating assumptions and scenario ranges.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce materials inputs for strategic planning.

• Establish plan-versus-actual assessments across forecasts, allocations, purchase orders, receipts, inventory, consumption, and contracts.

• Coordinate studies on material usage and yield across PLM, factory production, supplier receipts, and historical data.

• Oversee recurring tools and reporting products while ensuring controls on high-risk analyses.

• Direct special projects and business reviews, preparing recommendations that are ready for decision-making.

• Create models, presentations, dashboards, and summaries suitable for executive review.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in supply chain, business, finance, economics, engineering, data analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience); an advanced degree is advantageous.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials sourcing, procurement, supply chain analytics, manufacturing, product development, planning, or consulting.

• Proficient in managing extensive datasets and converting them into clear models, insights, and actionable recommendations.

• Advanced skills in Excel and strong capabilities in PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or AI-assisted tools is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.

• Experience collaborating across different functions, cultures, and time zones, particularly with teams or suppliers in Asia.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, create structure, and take ownership of projects from inquiry to recommendation and follow-through.
