This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Functions as a subject matter expert by delivering technical and analytical assistance to the Payroll department for Novo Nordisk Inc. and its affiliates.

• Aids in payroll preparation and processing, along with associated tasks such as tax reporting, benefits-records administration, and maintenance of payroll systems.

• Manages time record processing, compiles payroll metrics, and calculates deductions including Social Security, withholding taxes, and 401(k) contributions.

• Conducts audits, reconciles, and resolves intricate payroll processing issues and employee payroll concerns.

• Establishes and nurtures trusting, collaborative relationships with stakeholders.

• Formulates and drives the execution of plans for special projects and ongoing requirements.

• Processes and pays all employees of Novo Nordisk Inc. and its affiliates, ensuring the timely processing of final payments for separated employees.

• Responsible for creating and maintaining payroll guidelines and documentation for payroll policies and procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or a related field is required.

• At least six years of progressively responsible experience in Payroll is necessary.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.

• PayrollOrg Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or PayrollOrg Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is strongly preferred.

• Advanced knowledge in multi-state payroll processing, including the interpretation and application of state-specific tax laws and regulatory requirements.

• Familiarity with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and Federal, State, and Local tax laws.

• Ability to facilitate the understanding of payroll procedures among management and employees.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

• Must stay current on Payroll systems to ensure alignment with HR, Benefits, and other related areas.
