This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and execute precise semi-monthly payroll for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, as well as monthly payroll for Brazil, which includes off-cycle runs, bonuses, and adjustments.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local tax laws and wage regulations across AMER jurisdictions, overseeing new U.S. tax registrations and year-end reporting (such as W-2s and T4s).

• Review and approve all payroll runs before transmission, making sure they adhere to internal controls, company policies, local laws, and audit standards.

• Lead initiatives for payroll process improvements and automation, working with People Tech to refine integrations between Workday and third-party payroll systems.

• Act as the AMER payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering clear and consistent guidance on policy interpretations, tax changes, and payroll inquiries to internal partners and employees.

• Analyze payroll data and metrics to identify trends, support broader Finance and People initiatives (including platform and data-driven projects), and facilitate transparent decision-making.

• Mentor and support payroll team members to enhance regional capabilities while fostering a collaborative culture that positively challenges existing practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on payroll experience in multi-state U.S. payroll plus at least one additional AMER country within a mid- to large-sized, multi-entity corporate environment.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state payroll tax, wage and hour laws, and year-end reporting; familiarity with Canadian, Mexican, and/or Brazilian regulations is preferred.

• Knowledge of equity compensation (ESPP, NQ, ISO, RSU) is preferred.

• Experience with ADP and other third-party payroll providers; comfortable navigating multiple systems and integrations.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles related to payroll (including accruals, reconciliations, and GL mapping) and experience in supporting month-end close activities.

• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support.

• Demonstrated ability to manage processes from start to finish, meet deadlines, and function effectively in a rapidly changing environment.

• Proven success in collaborative work with Finance, HR, Technology, Benefits, Stock, and Compensation teams.
