Senior Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive payroll processing for various US pay groups and legal entities, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely execution.

• Take ownership of essential aspects of the payroll lifecycle, such as data validation, reconciliations, issue resolution, and final outputs.

• Facilitate payroll execution in a Workday–ADP environment, which includes preparation, validation, and troubleshooting.

• Manage intricate pay components like commissions, bonuses, equity transactions, severance, and retroactive adjustments while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

• Track payroll timelines and proactively raise concerns when inputs are incomplete or delayed.

• Conduct payroll reviews and reconciliations to detect discrepancies prior to finalization.

• Maintain SOX-compliant, audit-ready documentation and assist with audit requests.

• Oversee payroll activities related to the employee lifecycle (new hires, changes, separations).

• Address employee inquiries through shared inbox or ticketing systems.

• Generate payroll reports and provide stakeholders with accurate and timely information.

• Recognize opportunities for process improvements and contribute to standardization and automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in US payroll operations across multiple states and entities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field.

• Extensive experience with ADP platforms (Enterprise, eTime, Smart Compliance, Reporting).

• Advanced understanding of US payroll regulations at federal, state, and local levels.

• Demonstrated capability to manage end-to-end payroll processes with a sense of accountability.

• High attention to detail along with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
