This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical and pharmacy claims to design and maintain data products that enhance pricing, quality, and compliance tools.
• Utilize advanced models and queries to troubleshoot data issues, assist client inquiries, and refine internal analytics tools and workflows.
• Employ tools such as SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks to convert intricate datasets into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
• Oversee the development, production, validation, secure delivery, and ongoing support of outbound pharmacy data extracts for various vendors via SFTP and other authorized data exchange methods.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Web Development, and other Analytics teams to create, implement, and maintain complex code and workflows.
• Work with different departments to examine and resolve ad hoc cases, addressing client-specific inquiries and internal requests with precise, data-driven responses.
• Adhere to production-level code release processes while enhancing and evolving departmental workflows, analytics tools, and documentation.
• Regularly monitor data quality and performance, spotting trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Show initiative by independently managing complex tasks while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Contribute to broader strategic initiatives by delivering high-quality analysis that guides decision-making and promotes organizational goals.
• Execute other assigned duties as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in data analysis, including a minimum of 3 years dealing with healthcare claims data and complex, incomplete datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with a knack for identifying trends, investigating root causes, and formulating data-driven solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, validation, and quality assurance.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently while effectively collaborating across teams.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with experience in querying, transforming, validating, and optimizing large, complex datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data analysis libraries like Pandas and PySpark, as well as workflow automation.
• Familiarity with healthcare medical and pharmacy claims data, including coding standards like HCPCS, ICD-10, and NDC, along with associated reference datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data validation, reporting, and ad hoc analysis.
• Practical experience with distributed data processing platforms such as Databricks and Spark, along with cloud-based data environments like Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake.
• Experience in creating, validating, automating, and monitoring outbound data extracts for vendors, including securely transferring files via SFTP or other approved secure file transfer methods.
