This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a functional subject matter expert for key Workday Finance areas.
• Offer expert advice on comprehensive processes, financial controls, and ERP capabilities.
• Convert business requirements into configuration specifications, functional designs, and verifiable requirements.
• Keep functional specifications, configuration notes, test scripts, SOPs, and process flows up to date.
• Assist with change control, release preparedness, and audit documentation.
• Direct the configuration of intricate business processes, validations, posting rules, condition logic, and reporting frameworks.
• Confirm posting rules, business process flows, accounting outcomes, and reporting logic prior to deployment.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and apply sustainable solutions.
• Resolve complex issues related to accounting data, integrations, or workflow behavior.
• Aid in the configuration, testing, and functional ownership of additional Finance Controller’s Office systems.
• Manage functional delivery for enhancements, releases, and change requests.
• Oversee testing cycles, which include planning, script creation, execution supervision, and defect resolution.
• Identify inefficiencies in general ledger, procure to pay, order to cash, record to report, Payroll, grants, gifts, business assets, and project management workflows.
• Suggest and implement automation, redesign, and configuration enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT on integration, security, and technical escalations.
• Work together with Accounting, AP, Payroll, Procurement, HR, Finance, Grants, Fixed Assets, Projects, Treasury, and IT teams.
• Present options, impact analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical partners.
• Ensure release readiness through testing, documentation, and communication.
• Confirm configuration and testing results prior to deployment.
• Carry out other assigned duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least Five (5) years of hands-on experience configuring Workday Financials.
• Proven experience in configuring Workday business processes, accounting center, allocation, and financial frameworks, security groups.
• Established experience in developing advanced and composite Workday reports, calculated fields, and analytics datasets.
• Experience in leading Workday enhancements, requirement gathering, functional design, and UAT cycles.
• Background in supporting general ledger, procure to pay, order to cash, record to report, period close, grants, gifts, business assets, and project management.
• Familiarity with Workday release management, regression testing, and impact analysis.
• Experience collaborating with Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, and IT on cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience supporting or implementing multiple finance systems in addition to Workday, including participation in system upgrades or new deployments.
• In-depth knowledge of Workday Financials.
• Capacity to design and configure complex Workday solutions with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in building advanced Workday reports and analytics datasets.
• Ability to diagnose complex functional issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Capability to facilitate cross-functional discussions and influence stakeholders.
• Strong documentation skills (functional designs, test scripts, configuration notes).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder influencing abilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and release cycles.
• Proficiency in operating within a multi-system environment and understanding how additional tools integrate with Workday and Finance processes.
