This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Monitor security alerts and conduct thorough analyses.
• Implement incident response processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
• Analyze malware effectively.
• Remotely remediate malware or any malicious activities.
• Enhance processes for detecting incidents, triaging, and executing countermeasures.
• Generate high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customer management.
• Showcase industry leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and various public speaking engagements.
• Oversee internal programs or teams.
• Act as the technical escalation point and mentor for junior analysts.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance for tasks handled by junior analysts.
• Contribute to the advancement of security processes and procedures.
• Experience in one or more areas: incident handling, computer forensic analysis, systems administration, network forensic analysis, malware analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, or programming/scripting.
• Experience in managing incident response and investigating targeted threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats, organized crime, and hacktivists.
• Familiarity with forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations.
• Knowledge of system internals for implementing and executing countermeasures and remediation actions.
• Understanding of network protocols, network analysis tools, and associated network logs.
• Capability to perform both static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Strong grasp of targeted attacks and the ability to develop tailored tactical and strategic remediation plans.
• In-depth understanding of secure network architecture and experience in network operations.
• Programming/scripting proficiency in PowerShell, C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
• Proven track record of leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and achieve business outcomes.
• BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related discipline.
• At least one relevant security certification.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Extensive experience with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix operating systems.
