This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the comprehensive direct mail acquisition strategy, which encompasses circulation planning, audience development, sending cadence, and volume forecasting.
• Spearhead the list segmentation strategy by utilizing behavioral, demographic, and modeled data to expand the new-to-file and participant base.
• Cultivate relationships with print, production, list, and merge vendors to ensure the effective execution of direct mail acquisition campaigns.
• Administer the prospecting database to maintain data integrity and ensure alignment with evolving acquisition strategies.
• Drive continuous improvements to direct mail campaign attribution methodologies for enhanced performance measurement and investment decisions.
• Construct and sustain reporting mechanisms to assess campaign performance, effectiveness, audience reach, and conversion trends; monitor and analyze key acquisition KPIs to refine mailing cadence and contact frequency.
• Collaborate with creative teams and vendors to formulate messaging, offers, formats, and personalization strategies.
• Guarantee that creative execution aligns with audience targeting and facilitates accurate tracking and performance measurement.
• Develop and implement structured A/B and multivariate testing plans to enhance response rates and cost per acquisition; consistently optimize acquisition performance through iterative testing.
• Manage acquisition budget and optimize spending across direct mail initiatives.
• Work alongside the forecasting team to ensure that direct mail acquisition forecasts (new-to-file and enrollments) are precise, assumption-driven, and consistent with current campaign performance.
• Track and report performance against budget, ensuring efficient use of marketing investments.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to guide investment and targeting decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., marketing, business, economics, mathematics).
• A minimum of 4 years of direct response marketing experience, particularly focused on direct mail acquisition or catalog marketing.
• Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end campaign execution, encompassing targeting, production, and performance optimization.
• Proven success in a remote work environment, exhibiting strong self-management and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of direct mail economics, including CPA, response modeling, and ROI measurement.
• Experience in audience segmentation, list strategy, and data-driven targeting.
• Advanced Excel skills, with familiarity in marketing intelligence or reporting tools (e.g., Strategy [formerly MicroStrategy], Tableau, or similar).
• Background in managing marketing budgets and optimizing expenditures for enhanced performance and efficiency.
• Strong cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working alongside creative, finance, and external vendors.
• Ability to clearly articulate performance insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with an ownership mindset and capability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns.
• Detail-oriented with robust execution discipline in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Strong test-and-learn approach with a focus on continuous optimization and performance enhancement.
