Senior Analog IC Design Engineer – IVR Architecture Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead the design of system architecture to enhance product performance metrics including efficiency, density, load current transient response, input supply rejection, and reference tracking for Ferric IVRs.

• Define specifications for sub-blocks within the comprehensive system based on overall system-level requirements.

• Develop and manage various types of system-level models to advance innovative power conversion and control solutions.

• Conduct system-level simulations and verification with an emphasis on performance prediction through bench correlation.

• Design, simulate, and layout relevant analog IPs associated with IVRs as necessary.

• Advocate for system-level performance objectives across design, applications, and testing teams to guarantee optimal outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• MSEE with experience in analog design.

• Strong understanding of control theory and stability analysis.

• Extensive knowledge of switching power converter design.

• Profound expertise in CMOS analog circuit design, along with knowledge of digital circuit design.

• Familiarity with custom IC design flows and tools.

• BSEE + 8 years, MSEE + 5 years, or PhD + 2 years in power or RF IC design, or a related field.

• Experience in designing high switching frequency integrated voltage regulators.

• Background in designing ICs using standard CMOS.

• Knowledge of exotic semiconductors is a plus.

• Comprehensive understanding of process and device physics principles.

• Acquainted with mixed signal verification methodologies.

• Experience with Monte Carlo analysis.

• Familiarity with analog design EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, schematic capture, LVS, DRC, SPICE simulation, parasitic extraction, and electromagnetic simulators.

• Proven experience with bench-level validation, characterization, and debugging of complete ICs and IC sub-systems.
