Senior AI Technical Project Manager – GenAI, AI-ML, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the complete delivery process of GenAI and AI/ML projects, spanning from planning to production deployment.

• Manage a collection of AI initiatives while creating unified dashboards, executive reports, and updates on program health.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, which include Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, Demos, and Retrospectives.

• Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.

• Recognize risks, formulate mitigation strategies, handle escalations, and eliminate delivery obstacles.

• Lead stakeholder communications, executive updates, governance reviews, and presentations for leadership.

• Oversee cross-project dependencies, manage resource conflicts, and prioritize at the portfolio level.

• Provide overall portfolio oversight, proactive risk management, executive reporting, and ensure the predictable delivery of enterprise GenAI and AI/ML programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Technical Project Management, Program Management, or Delivery Leadership.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering AWS-based AI/ML and Generative AI projects.

• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and Prompt Engineering.

• Familiarity with the Machine Learning Lifecycle.

• Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps concepts.

• Proficient in AWS AI services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, and OpenSearch.

• Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects while providing governance at the portfolio level.

• Significant expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and facilitating all Scrum ceremonies.

• Practical experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or other similar project management tools.

• Exceptional communication, executive presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

• Strong abilities in risk management, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving.

• Preferred: PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, or SAFe certification.

• Preferred: AWS Cloud or Machine Learning certifications.

• Preferred: Background in consulting, digital transformation, or customer-facing AI programs.
