Senior AI Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and launch applications powered by AI utilizing Python.

• Integrate machine learning models, AI APIs, and advanced algorithms into scalable backend systems.

• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to define, create, and deliver features driven by AI.

• Contribute to the software architecture, system design, and technical decision-making for products that leverage AI.

• Develop and uphold CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using Docker.

• Deploy and manage AI applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Optimize AI solutions for scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Assess advancements in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies for integration into products and workflows.

• Support logistics operations for a supply chain leader through AI-driven applications and production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on integrating AI/ML solutions into production applications.

• Proficient programming skills in Python or Java.

• Practical experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or Hugging Face Transformers.

• Understanding of machine learning concepts, data engineering, ETL processes, and model deployment.

• Experience with SQL and handling large-scale datasets.

• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD practices, and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in building or consuming RESTful APIs and integrating AI services into enterprise-level applications.

• Knowledge of LLMs, vector databases, prompt engineering, or AI agents.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

• Proactive, adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

• A desire to contribute to the organization’s success and align with its culture and values.

• Nice to have: Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, or microservices architectures.
