This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, create, and manage production-level agentic personalization systems that respond to user behavior and context.
• Conduct research, develop, and implement machine learning models utilizing Transformers, LLMs, and traditional ML algorithms for search and recommendation applications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph) and in constructing systems that facilitate multi-step reasoning, tool utilization, and decision-making processes.
• Exhibit expertise in optimized inference engines/frameworks such as vLLM and TensorRT.
• Productionize ML- and LLM-driven workflows, encompassing inference services, orchestration, monitoring, and iterative enhancements.
• Create agentic systems that utilize agent memory, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and tool ecosystems/APIs to provide contextually aware personalization and recommendations.
• Develop and enhance data and feature pipelines that support personalization, experimentation, and feedback mechanisms.
• Establish robust methodologies for assessing LLM performance while adhering to ethical AI practices.
• Monitor and refine deployed models based on actual performance metrics and user feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to convert research into production-ready systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on ownership of production systems.
• Extensive experience in building AI systems within cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Practical experience in deploying AI, ML, or LLM-powered systems into production.
• Familiarity with AI agents, orchestration frameworks, or hybrid reasoning systems.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices, experimentation frameworks, and model monitoring techniques.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or equivalents.
• Experience with data systems, including RDBMS, NoSQL, data warehouses, and streaming platforms.
• Strong comprehension of system design, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across engineering, product, and data teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to influence technical decisions.
• Experience in developing personalization, recommendation, or insight platforms.
• Familiarity with real-time or event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of AI governance, privacy, or safety considerations at scale.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or serving as a technical lead on complex projects.
