This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead development initiatives, mentor engineers and product managers, and make crucial architectural choices related to Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and various departments throughout the organization to ensure comprehensive ownership from both product and technical viewpoints, along with internal enablement and customer assistance.

• Create greenfield projects and execute proof of concepts, including engaging in hands-on coding that aligns with the product vision.

• Design end-to-end AI systems by selecting the optimal AI methodology (Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, and Generative AI) for each specific problem, weighing all relevant trade-offs and risks, while also working directly in the code alongside other engineers.

• Connect data science and product by converting complex applicable issues into cohesive AI solutions, incorporating UX and UI, and leading the development while managing it from a product management angle.

• Apply data-driven approaches to tackle intricate cybersecurity challenges.

• Take charge of pipeline metrics and collaborate with MLOps to enhance model and pipeline performance through effective monitoring, data mining, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and hyperparameter tuning to satisfy latency and cost criteria.

• Propel technical strategy by assessing third-party AI tools against in-house solutions to optimize ROI.

• Set up data governance and security protocols to guarantee the ethical and compliant use of sensitive information within AI models.

• Develop and execute incremental development and implementation strategies aligned with a long-term product vision.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years (or 3 with an advanced degree) of hands-on experience in product development as an engineer and individual contributor, including at least 3 years in software, data science, or machine learning.

• At least 5 years (or 3 if holding an advanced degree) of experience in managing, launching, and providing production support for a mix of several global multi-million dollar products or projects, which involved more than 20 engineers and over 10 other employees from various cross-functional teams, as well as projects or products with a small team of fewer than 5 engineers.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the cybersecurity, automotive, energy, or healthcare sectors.

• Proficient in handling large datasets with intricate schemas that are unlabeled.

• Demonstrated experience as both an individual contributor and a project or product leader.

• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, managing budgets, and dealing with legal contracts and statements of work with engineering contracting firms, suppliers, and customers.

• Established and managed internal KPIs (key performance indicators) for products and projects, including internal data analytics and dashboards that involve financial metrics.

• Preferred: experience in both large enterprises (over 100k employees) and small companies (fewer than 500 employees).

• Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies as well as certification frameworks such as APQP, IATF 16949, and ISO.

• Experience with ML services in cloud platforms like GCP.

• Strong programming capabilities to develop at least proof of concept coding in Python, along with a solid grasp of libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Langchain, and Langsmith.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with Product, Engineering, Field, and other cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in problem-solving and critical thinking, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify potential challenges, and devise innovative solutions.

• Strong self-management capabilities, able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

• A proactive work ethic and the ability to take initiative.

• Degree in a related field such as Engineering or Computer Science. Preferred: an advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
