Senior AI Fullstack Engineer – Cloud Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance the architecture of our autonomous agent swarm by defining agent boundaries, data flows, and the feedback loops that enable bees to self-correct and deliver features from start to finish.

• Build and manage the infrastructure that supports our AI-native pipeline, utilizing various AWS services such as Lambda functions, DynamoDB, and SNS/SQS.

• Lead with comprehensive technical specifications — if the logic isn't documented, it doesn't exist — transforming complex product requirements into clear, agentic-ready designs that act as the definitive source of truth for AI-driven implementation.

• Guide and assess coding agents and LLM models, evaluating their outputs against a high-quality mental model to ensure accuracy, performance, and security.

• Extend and maintain our TypeScript/Fastify backend and React micro-frontend architecture, enhancing observability, reliability, and test coverage throughout the stack.

• Establish and enforce guardrails, monitoring systems, and self-healing mechanisms that ensure the safe operation of autonomous agents in production.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product leadership to influence the long-term vision of AI-native development at HiveMQ.

• Remain at the cutting edge of AI tooling, agent frameworks, and LLM capabilities, continually refining how the hive thinks and builds.

⛳️ Requirements

• A solid software engineering background (5+ years) with practical experience in architecting and delivering full-stack applications in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.

• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure at a production level — including Lambda, DynamoDB, and related services — with a deep understanding of potential failure points at scale.

• Extensive experience working with AI coding agents and LLM-powered workflows, knowing how to effectively guide them rather than merely prompting.

• A DevOps-first mindset — you have created monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems that maintain the health of production environments without constant human oversight.

• Strong architectural skills in bounded contexts, idempotent design, decoupled micro-frontends, and distributed systems.

• The capability to convert vague product objectives into precise, agentic-ready technical specifications with no room for misunderstanding.

• A high sense of ownership and initiative — you proactively identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and follow through independently.

• Exceptional English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and leadership in a remote-first setting.
