Senior AI Engineer – Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of data-intensive features from design to production, developing pragmatic solutions for increasing traffic and data volume.

• Enhance data models, pipelines, migrations, and multi-tenant systems.

• Collaborate within the TypeScript monorepo utilizing Hono, Drizzle/Postgres, and AWS infrastructure managed via SST/Pulumi across Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and S3.

• Engage with React 19 and React Router 7 when the work intersects with the product.

• Oversee production, troubleshoot issues, and address root causes.

• Assist the team in making clear and practical technical decisions.

• Leverage and enhance AI coding agents while helping to establish AI-native engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building, scaling, and maintaining production software.

• Strong backend engineering expertise in a typed programming language.

• Familiarity with integrating third-party and public APIs, such as OpenAI or Anthropic Claude.

• Proficient in relational data modeling, migrations, and production data systems.

• Good judgment when dealing with sensitive data and implementing high-impact changes.

• Current, hands-on experience with AI coding tools and reviewing their outputs.

• Excellent written communication, product insight, and confidence in managing work from start to finish.

• Experience with TypeScript, Postgres, serverless AWS, or event-driven systems is advantageous.
