Senior AI Engineer – C#, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design of agent architectures in .NET/C# (planning, memory, multi-step reasoning) and develop ASP.NET Core backends that feature clean APIs for a React frontend.

• Design agentic workflows to enhance coding, testing, and CI/CD processes across our .NET and React codebases; aim to standardize internal AI developer tools.

• Construct robust data ingestion, retrieval (RAG), and memory layers over internal systems. Create secure integrations (tool calling, MCP servers) to enable agents to interact with internal tools.

• Deliver safe, customer-facing predictive features by utilizing customer data as context. Ensure stringent data isolation, privacy, and multi-tenant security measures.

• Establish organization-wide standards for deploying, monitoring, and optimizing the costs of agentic systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Conduct technical reviews, make high-level decisions regarding model selection, and enhance the engineering team's expertise in agentic systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 8+, ASP.NET Core).

• At least 2 years of direct experience in creating production applications with LLMs, including advanced prompt engineering and tool/function calling.

• Proven experience in deploying agentic or complex LLM systems at scale, along with a solid understanding of RAG, vector databases, and context management.

• Familiarity with AI agents within the software development lifecycle and knowledge of .NET-native AI tooling (e.g., Semantic Kernel, Microsoft.Extensions.AI).

• Substantial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.).

• In-depth understanding of API design, distributed systems, asynchronous programming, and multi-tenant security isolation.

• Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mentoring approach, and a strong sense of ownership.
