Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Create real-time engines for product and bundle recommendations, focusing on dynamic slot placement to optimize both conversion rates and profit margins.

• Develop personalized systems for coupon and points issuance, along with behavioral triggers and algorithms for dynamic bundling.

• Enhance the segmentation engine to cater to behavioral, demographic, psychographic, and lookalike audiences, incorporating wallet push notifications.

• Implement personalization models across various platforms, including web, app, and in-store employee interactions.

• Construct and maintain comprehensive machine learning pipelines, from feature preparation in BigQuery and Snowflake to deployment and ongoing monitoring.

• Design and assess A/B tests to illustrate the business impact of each implemented model.

• Contribute to the development of personalized customer experiences across web, app, and in-store interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing ranking or recommender systems that are operational in a production environment.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch frameworks.

• Comprehensive understanding of model evaluation and validation techniques, including offline metrics and online performance assessments.

• Experience in designing and evaluating A/B tests and experiments to quantify the impact of models on business outcomes.

• Practical knowledge of MLOps practices, covering ML pipelines, model deployment, performance monitoring, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).

• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses, preferably BigQuery and/or Snowflake.

• Knowledge of pipeline orchestration using Airflow.

• Proficiency in English for effective collaboration within an international team.

• Experience in real-time model deployment with low latency.

• Background in promotion targeting, pricing strategies, or uplift modeling, including personalized coupon offerings and product bundling.

• Experience in developing customer segmentation and lookalike models across diverse markets.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code methodologies using Terraform.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) machine learning tools, such as Vertex AI.

• Proven track record in creating personalization solutions for the retail or e-commerce sectors.
