Senior AI Engineer – Agentic AI, MCP, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create and implement intricate enterprise-level agentic AI systems

• Coordinate the activities of AI agents

• Develop and link Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that securely connect foundation models to enterprise data and internal tools

• Enforce fine-grained Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), identity propagation, and deterministic policy enforcement across various systems

• Establish correctness rules and safety measures for outputs generated and actions taken by agents

• Provide reviewable diffs, infrastructure as code (IaC), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for AI systems

• Promote adoption among delivery teams

• Collaborate with the company’s internal team rather than being assigned to client projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience in a senior capacity

• Practical experience in developing agentic systems from start to finish

• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks

• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP)

• Experience with complex function calls, structured outputs, and evaluation systems

• Proficient in SQL and data modeling

• Extensive experience with cloud architectures

• Understanding of enterprise security, including identity propagation, fine-grained RBAC, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and deterministic policy enforcement in distributed and agentic systems

• Strong software engineering skills in Python for production environments

• Experience with testing, CI/CD, REST APIs, and Docker

• Professional proficiency in English (required)
