Senior AI Developer – Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage AI systems and agentic workflows that integrate AI models with Workleap’s data, tools, and applications.

• Produce AI systems and agentic workflows that are ready for production and deliver measurable benefits to products and internal processes.

• Incorporate observability, testing, security, and cost management to ensure high-quality production systems.

• Transform evaluation results from data scientists into tangible technical enhancements.

• Create context integrations that allow agents to effectively utilize governed data and application functionalities.

• Establish reusable methods and components for use by other teams.

• Steer architectural decisions with a focus on quality, risk, and cost considerations.

• Collaborate with software development, product, platform, and security teams.

• Concentrate on the reliability of AI agents, trustworthy data-driven responses, and disciplined management of AI capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in production software development, especially in Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with testing, CI/CD processes, and managing cloud-based systems.

• Practical experience in designing, developing, and managing AI applications utilizing foundation models, agents, tools, and context.

• Experience in instrumenting and assessing non-deterministic systems, including observability, evaluations, and regression testing.

• Strong architectural insight regarding reliability, security, and cost considerations.

• Capacity to advocate for and defend technical decisions.

• Background in developing components or tools that are utilized by other software developers.

• Working knowledge of Snowflake and its AI capabilities (Cortex), or the ability to quickly acquire proficiency.

• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools with sound judgment.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Preferred: experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP AI services, or familiarity with platforms and tools that facilitate AI adoption for other teams.
