This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and other departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of their workflows.
• Identify the most impactful automation opportunities and convert vague, ambiguous issues into precise technical solutions.
• Depart each stakeholder discussion with a clearer problem definition than when you arrived.
• Create automations and internal tools utilizing AI-native platforms, scripting, APIs, and any other methods that effectively achieve results, prioritizing pragmatism over theoretical purity.
• Deliver functional version 1s swiftly, enabling stakeholders to assess value before scaling investments.
• Integrate LLMs, agents, RAG patterns, and prompt design with existing systems to produce genuine workflow outcomes.
• Refine working prototypes to ensure they possess the reliability, observability, error handling, and reusability necessary for production deployment.
• Determine when a one-off solution is sufficient as-is versus when it should be elevated to a resource the entire organization can depend on.
• Establish monitoring and documentation practices that allow automations to operate unattended and recover smoothly in case of issues.
• Mentor and guide non-technical colleagues in developing their own automations: review their projects, remove obstacles, and enhance their skills over time.
• Conduct light enablement activities (such as working sessions, office hours, and shared documentation) that foster the citizen-developer community at Later.
• Articulate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences and teach others to be self-sufficient.
• Proven experience in creating and deploying automations, internal tools, or AI-driven workflows that resulted in measurable business outcomes.
• Strong proficiency with contemporary AI tools (LLMs, agents, RAG, prompt design) and a comfort level in integrating APIs, scripts, and no-code/low-code platforms.
• A business-oriented approach: you prioritize the problem and the user over technology, and can help refine a non-technical partner's problem statement through insightful questioning.
• Resourcefulness and a proactive mindset: you deliver a functional version 1 within days, not months, and iterate from there.
• An understanding of scalability, recognizing when a solution is adequate as a one-off versus when it needs to be designed for broader organizational use.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences and guide others in creating their own solutions.
• Experience in internal tools, RevOps, BizOps, or applied AI functions is advantageous.
• A background in supporting or training non-technical builders (citizen developers, operational teams managing their own tools) is a plus.
• Comfortable working with data: extracting, cleaning, and analyzing it.
• Eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
