This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Develop and sustain high-quality LookML models, ensuring the semantic layer is enriched with precise labels, descriptions, synonyms, and business logic that AI tools — including Looker Conversational Analytics and external LLMs — can consistently utilize;
• Design and configure domain-specific Data Agents with structured instructions, Golden Queries, and scoped context governance to provide accurate and dependable conversational analytics;
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines that automate metadata governance, encompassing AI-assisted description generation, DDL synchronization, and semantic consistency checks;
• Construct reusable AI skills, tools, and workflows that enable analysts and stakeholders to engage with governed data through natural language interfaces;
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to convert vague or poorly defined business inquiries into clearly defined, measurable data models and agent instructions;
• Spot opportunities to enhance the quality and reliability of AI-generated insights by refining context structure, metadata coverage, and semantic layer accuracy;
• Formulate recommendations and promote enhancements to data standards, processes, and definitions;
• Contribute to cross-team guidelines and best practices for the responsible use of AI with data.
• 3-5+ years of pertinent experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or a closely related domain;
• Strong SQL skills are essential;
• Proficient in Python — comfortable writing and maintaining production-grade scripts and automation pipelines, beyond just exploratory code;
• Practical experience with a semantic layer or BI modeling tool (LookML/Looker, dbt Semantic Layer, or equivalent);
• Solid understanding of how Large Language Models utilize structured context: field-level metadata, descriptions, synonyms, and prompt design;
• Experience in designing context for AI agents: drafting system instructions, defining agent boundaries, or contributing to agent skill frameworks;
• Background in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data artifacts (GitHub Actions, dbt CI, or similar);
• Significant familiarity with complex data pipelines, data modeling, and data architecture;
• Comfortable with AI-assisted development workflows: using AI coding tools, crafting Golden Queries, and developing or configuring skills for data agents;
• Must thrive in unstructured, fast-paced, and continuously evolving high-growth environments;
• Strong execution and ownership — capable of driving technical work from ambiguous problems to reliable solutions;
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
• Advanced English written and verbal communication skills.
