This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Execute, clear, and finalize intricate domestic and international securities transactions and derivative instruments.
• Facilitate the entire trade lifecycle from front-office execution to accounting, settlement, security master maintenance, derivative support, and exception management.
• Confirm trades with counterparties and inform custodian banks about upcoming settlements.
• Oversee failed trades, settlement queues, cash and position discrepancies, and high-risk or high-value transactions.
• Investigate and resolve complex settlement discrepancies and exceptions involving brokers, custodians, traders, counterparties, and internal partners.
• Conduct manual trade entry and manage structured-security factors and broker cash settlements.
• Establish, review, maintain, and validate Security Master Files utilizing Bloomberg, IDC, OnBase, custodians, and internal systems.
• Investigate security reference data, corporate actions, pricing, identifiers, settlement instructions, and market information using Bloomberg Terminal.
• Set up and settle OTC derivatives, reconcile margin cash flows, and process swap payments.
• Fund private placements and open global custody accounts for international portfolios.
• Handle sub-advised trades, including dollar rolls and TBA transactions.
• Monitor institutional trade matching, affirmations, and settlement statuses using DTCC CTM TradeSuite.
• Maintain Standing Settlement Instructions via DTCC ALERT.
• Ensure adherence to settlement deadlines, market conventions, and regulatory standards.
• Engage in settlement-system testing, implementation, enhancements, automation, and process improvements.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end operational tasks.
• Maintain operating procedures and support audit, compliance, and internal control requests.
• Escalate operational risks and settlement challenges.
• Foster working relationships with traders, portfolio managers, custodians, brokers, counterparties, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, Compliance, and other business partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in investment operations, trade settlements, investment administration, or similar financial services.
• An additional two (2) years of directly related experience is required if lacking a degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of securities, fixed income, mortgage-backed securities, derivatives, and institutional settlement processes.
• Proficient in managing the trade lifecycle from execution through settlement and reconciliation.
• Experience using Bloomberg Terminal for security research, reference data, and Security Master maintenance.
• Familiarity with DTCC CTM TradeSuite, DTCC ALERT, or comparable institutional trade matching and settlement platforms.
• Proven experience in maintaining Security Master Files and validating investment reference data.
• Understanding of domestic and global market settlement practices and conventions.
• Experience collaborating with multiple global custodians, brokers, counterparties, and external investment managers.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines in a dynamic operational environment.
