This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Aid in achieving growth and profitability objectives for various Managing General Underwriters (MGUs)
• Conduct analyses for property and casualty insurance programs
• Assist with portfolio remediation and the creation of new programs
• Enhance current pricing models and create new ones as necessary
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to ensure comprehension and support
• Convey results and strategies to carrier partners
• Compile statistics at the portfolio level
• Create and manage dashboards as opportunities present themselves
• Support the evolution of rating tools
• Conduct vendor assessments
• Identify methods to enhance efficiency, profitability, and growth
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another field with quantitative coursework
• Over 5 years of actuarial experience, or a Master's degree with more than 3 years of experience
• Experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) industry
• Preferred experience with Commercial Lines pricing
• Strong preference for ACAS or FCAS designation; non-credentialed applicants may apply
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
• Strong grasp of pricing principles
• Familiarity with SQL/DataBricks
• Knowledge of R/Python
• Experience with multivariate analysis and GLM development/maintenance
