Senior Actuarial Analyst – P&C Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee various client-specific deliverables associated with renewals and unique projects.

• Assume primary responsibility for actuarial reserve analyses, captive feasibility assessments, insurance program pricing evaluations, loss forecasting, variability analysis, and simulation modeling.

• Coordinate, compile, and prepare effective communications for submissions and proposals.

• Support the collection, cleaning, and analysis of data utilizing Excel, R, Python, SQL, and Power BI.

• Aid in the creation of analytical tools, reports, and dashboards.

• Streamline recurring data and reporting processes through automation.

• Assist with statistical analysis and modeling tasks.

• Validate data, review outcomes, and contribute to ensuring that outputs are precise and thoroughly documented.

• Collaborate with your manager and team members to generate ideas, address challenges, and accomplish project objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related area.

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.

• Progress toward the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) certification is advantageous.

• Proficient in Excel and at least one scripting language (R, Python, SQL).

• Capable of working with large datasets with a strong attention to detail.

• Comfortable learning new tools and concepts in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong client presence with project management, presentation, and facilitation abilities.

• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
