Actuary, Model Validation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with different teams to grasp the necessary modifications to Corporate AXIS models utilized for pricing, inforce management, ALM, and valuation objectives.

• Independently updating the Microsoft Excel validation tools to integrate the essential changes using model change management controls and efficient programming algorithms.

• Ensuring that validation tools are developed and maintained using effective methods.

• Acting as the F&G expert on the Corporate AXIS model validation tools by offering technical support and pertinent training to other actuarial users, both internal and external to the team.

• Developing and promoting enhancements to establish repeatable and scalable processes.

• Maintaining thorough documentation.

• Cultivating a risk-aware culture within the team.

• Leading and managing actuarial staff, ensuring that team objectives are achieved while creating and implementing development initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of the actuarial staff. Promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented atmosphere.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field.

• FSA designation preferred.

• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience.

• Experience and knowledge in reporting and modeling of US Statutory and US GAAP reporting preferred.

• Familiarity with Fixed Indexed Annuity, Registered Index-Linked Annuity, or Indexed Universal Life, or related reinsurance preferred.

• Proficiency with AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software preferred.
