
Senior Actuarial Analyst β Medical Economics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +22 more states.
β’ Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to support the measurement of savings for cost containment efforts.
β’ Assess actual savings from existing programs and project savings for newly proposed initiatives.
β’ Collect, organize, and analyze data from internal colleagues, databases, and external partners.
β’ Create and distribute established reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Address inquiries related to results, including the investigation of significant changes and anomalies.
β’ Aid in records management and the documentation of MedEcon Savings portfolio performance across previous, current, and projected years.
β’ Plan, execute, manage, and/or contribute to moderate- and high-complexity ad hoc projects.
β’ Maintain active participation in the Actuarial Development Program.
β’ Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to assess healthcare initiatives and support financial forecasting.
β’ Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (as applicable).
β’ Over 4 years of relevant actuarial experience; related experience may be taken into account.
β’ Completion of 5 or more exams towards the attainment of the ASA designation is required.
β’ Additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of minimum exam requirements.
β’ ASA or completion of more exams towards eventual attainment of ASA may be considered in place of minimum experience requirements.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SQL.
β’ Previous roles focused on healthcare.
β’ Experience in utilizing developing AI capabilities.
β’ Expertise in SQL-based data queries and data management.
β’ Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
β’ Experience in creating and presenting materials and reports for external clients.
