This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Master the data ecosystem of CLARA to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality challenges for reporting and analytics tools.

• Conduct data analysis and extract insights from complex data sources to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

• Create, maintain, and enhance standardized customer reports.

• Design and develop user-friendly dashboards, reports, and visualizations for both ad hoc and recurring needs.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Data Science, and Data Engineering to implement relevant analytics techniques and visualizations.

• Review, validate, and prepare client data for analysis.

• Draft reports and maintain necessary documentation.

• Present findings to various stakeholders including product, technical, client-facing, executive, and client audiences.

• Assume increasing responsibilities and distribute work across the function.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or quantitative field (such as Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, etc.) or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of 2–3 years of actuarial experience in Property-Casualty (P&C) insurance.

• Strong foundational knowledge of P&C insurance, including relevant core metrics and P&C trend analysis.

• Highly skilled in SQL, with the ability to navigate complex, messy databases to extract, clean, and analyze critical data.

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools and a solid understanding of data and visualization best practices.

• Exceptional attention to detail and technical accuracy.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and explore, validate, and utilize undocumented data sources.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Start-up and/or insurtech experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with or experience using AI tools, specifically Claude, is preferred.

• Experience or knowledge of Sigma Computing is preferred.

• Domain expertise in Workers Compensation, General Liability, and/or Auto insurance is preferred.
