
Senior Actuarial Analyst β Medical Economics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +22 more states.
β’ Create reporting frameworks, tools, and analytical strategies for market and domain teams, as well as pricing for various programs and products.
β’ Assist in the rating process by identifying the need for and developing enhancements to actuarial models.
β’ Distribute predefined reports and address inquiries effectively.
β’ Aid in the examination of trends and irregularities.
β’ Coordinate and autonomously develop Business Intelligence content, which includes reports, dashboards, scorecards, and intricate analytical solutions throughout the entire development lifecycle.
β’ Provide data necessary for business decision-making, goal achievement, and performance assessment.
β’ Share knowledge with business divisions regarding enterprise data content, definitions, usage, and available BI tools.
β’ Keep informed about data assets and tools while supporting the development and maintenance of a formal Knowledge Base.
β’ Plan, execute, manage, and/or contribute to projects of moderate to high complexity.
β’ Utilize actuarial expertise and advanced analytics to healthcare data to enhance affordability, strategic decision-making, and organizational performance.
β’ Collaborate with actuarial, business, and technology stakeholders.
β’ Bachelor's degree or a higher degree as necessary.
β’ Over 4 years of pertinent actuarial experience.
β’ Completion of 5 or more exams toward the eventual achievement of ASA designation is required.
β’ Additional relevant experience may be taken into account as a substitute for the minimum exam requirements.
β’ ASA or additional exams toward the ultimate attainment of ASA may be considered in place of the minimum experience requirement.
β’ Preferred knowledge of commercial and Medicare healthcare.
β’ Experience in risk modeling/normalization, outlier analysis, and benchmarking.
β’ Familiarity with Business Intelligence software, especially Power BI, is preferred.
β’ Experience with Microsoft Suite and Power tools is a plus.
β’ Proficiency with AI development tools, particularly Copilot and Cortex Code, is highly desirable.
β’ SQL is required, particularly Snowflake.
β’ Knowledge of Python/R and automation/workflow software such as Alteryx is a plus.
β’ Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
β’ Must be an active participant in good standing within the Actuarial Development Program.
