This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Conduct pricing and rate analysis as assigned.
• Perform peer reviews and evaluate Analyst work to ensure quality deliverables.
• Prepare actuarial sections of rate filings, including assisting with responses to inquiries from various insurance departments.
• Undertake special projects as requested by the business.
• Modify and develop code to manipulate and query data with minimal supervision.
• Assist in training others on pricing and rate analysis tasks.
• Aid in the preparation of rate level indications.
• Support the preparation of analyses of statistical experiences.
• Help monitor Actuarial Department communications to identify opportunities for collaboration and enhance consistency in actuarial deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives of routine processes within the department to reduce errors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field, along with 2 years of experience in an actuarial role or insurance pricing.
• Alternatively, possess 4 years of experience in an actuarial role or insurance pricing.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, and VBA.
• A minimum of 4 Actuarial Exams passed.
