Associate Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Oversee sophisticated actuarial evaluations in areas such as reserving, pricing, reinsurance, and predictive modeling.

• Perform in-depth analyses of reserving segments to identify trends, validate assumptions, and reveal key drivers.

• Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Finance, and leadership teams to convert data into actionable insights.

• Improve and automate reserving procedures.

• Reinforce governance frameworks and ensure compliance with actuarial standards and regulatory mandates.

• Assist in financial reporting by conducting reserve adequacy assessments and partnering with auditors.

• Clearly articulate complex trends and risk insights to facilitate business decision-making.

• Mentor and nurture the development of actuarial team members.

• Influence strategic decision-making, profitability, and risk management across the insurance portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of actuarial experience in property & casualty insurance.

• Extensive knowledge in reserving, pricing, and risk modeling.

• Proficient in predictive analytics, GLMs, and/or data science methodologies.

• Strong grasp of insurance operations, including the dynamics of claims and underwriting.

• Ability to translate technical analyses into clear, business-oriented recommendations.

• Demonstrated capability to collaborate, influence, and lead across various teams.

• An innate curiosity and commitment to continuously enhance processes and results.

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
