Associate Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and various data to facilitate strategic and operational decisions.

• Establish performance metrics and deliver data analyses to enhance business intelligence.

• Assess industry, economic, financial, and market trends to predict the organization’s short-, medium-, and long-term financial and competitive standing.

• Report directly to the Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting Principal.

• Collaborate with Market and Finance teams to create financial models.

• Validate and review existing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Comprehend Risk Arrangement contracts and assess their financial implications.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.

• MAAA designation.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the actuarial field, across any specialty.

• Proven communication skills.

• Experience with actuarial modeling techniques.

• Proficiency in SAS or SQL Server Management Studio.

• Familiarity with risk arrangements.

• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicare Advantage frameworks.

• Ability to work from a designated space without interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.

• Self-provided internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.

• Willingness to travel a few times a year for significant group meetings, training sessions, or other gatherings.
