Senior Accounting Manager – E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise month-end closing procedures and all significant accounting-related tasks for your team.

• Financial Package Assessment: Analyzing Management Reports with Essential Metrics.

• Accounting Package Assessment: Ensuring accurate reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and performing trend analysis for both the balance sheet and profit & loss statements.

• Inventory Management Evaluation: This includes reconciling inventory (Physical, Sub to GL), managing inventory write-offs and obsolescence adjustments, and reviewing individual product costs to ensure accuracy in inventory software and systems.

• Assess Accounts Receivable processing and aging reports (no collections involved).

• Evaluate Accounts Payable processing and aging reports, along with bill payments using Bill.com (or similar software) on behalf of clients.

• Review Payroll Processing, encompassing journal entries and accruals.

• Generate ad hoc reports or details as requested.

• Manage client communications and act as an escalation point.

• Mentor and train the team on client-related and administrative responsibilities.

• Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials.

• Oversee the budget for your team.

• Ensure organized files and proper document storage.

• Engage in training as assigned.

• Contribute to the internal team as a collaborative partner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in comprehensive accounting.

• A minimum of 2 years in a multi-client or consulting position.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is mandatory.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel.

• Experience with NetSuite and Xero is highly advantageous.

• Background in e-commerce clients is essential.

• Experience reconciling systems such as Shopify, PayPal, Bill.com, etc. is required.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting best practices.

• Solid knowledge of financial statements and the ability to analyze them effectively.

• Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.

• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a remote work setting.
