Senior Accountant, Product Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the SimpleTax, Wealthsimple Mortgages, and Wealthsimple Cash products.

• Prepare and evaluate monthly financial reports, which include product analysis and month-over-month variance assessment.

• Contribute significantly to the development and implementation of new accounting processes for upcoming product launches.

• Generate monthly accruals and conduct account reconciliations to ensure financial statements are accurate and comprehensive.

• Assist with the month-end closing procedures.

• Aid in formulating and documenting new accounting policies and procedures.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Operations and Data teams to guarantee effective communication and precise reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.

• CPA designation (or actively pursuing CPA certification).

• Proficient in IFRS and well-versed in product accounting principles, including revenue recognition.

• Experience with Netsuite is considered an asset.
