Senior Accountant, Payment Integrity, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Develop, analyze, and implement accounting and finance operations.

• Prepare managerial reports, financial statements, and maintain the general ledger.

• Prepare and evaluate journal entries, income statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.

• Report on and provide insights regarding the organization’s financial status.

• Create analytical financial tools for monitoring critical at-risk balance sheet accounts.

• Develop, implement, modify, and document accounting systems.

• Adjust accounting and recordkeeping functions to align with current computerized accounting technology.

• Assist with treasury operations by supervising weekly activities and reporting to management.

• Prepare and maintain claims liability lag reports.

• Reconcile and review claims system reports and claims liability reports against checks issued and other empirical data.

• Engage in due diligence, integration activities with acquired firms, technical accounting research, and other business matters.

• Conduct special research and propose enhancements to accounting methods and procedures.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.

• Experience ideally in public accounting or the healthcare sector.

• Master’s degree is preferred.
