Senior Accountant, Payment Integrity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Develop, analyze, and implement accounting and finance functions.

• Generate managerial reports, financial reports, and maintain the general ledger.

• Prepare and evaluate journal entries, income statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents.

• Report on and provide guidance regarding the organization’s financial position.

• Create analytical financial tools for crucial at-risk balance sheet accounts.

• Design, execute, modify, and document accounting systems.

• Adapt accounting and recordkeeping processes to computerized accounting technology.

• Support treasury functions by monitoring weekly activities and reporting to management.

• Prepare and manage claims liability lag reports.

• Reconcile and review claims system reports along with claims liability reports against checks paid and other relevant data.

• Engage in due diligence, integration activities with acquired companies, technical accounting research, and various business challenges.

• Conduct special studies and propose improvements to accounting methods and procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.

• Experience in public accounting or the healthcare sector is preferred.

• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing journal entries and financial statements.

• Familiarity with accounting systems and computerized accounting technology.

• Ability to reconcile claims system reports and claims liability reports.

• Capability to adhere to all policies and standards.
