Senior Accountant, International Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Responsible for recording transactions in the financial books and conducting GL reconciliations, which include bank reconciliations.

• Document and reconcile transactions between intercompany accounts.

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Create year-end financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.

• Engage in and oversee both internal and external audit processes.

• Generate monthly and quarterly flux reports and provide explanations for variances.

• Spearhead the resolution of accounting challenges and advise cross-functional teams on accounting implications.

• Continuously enhance existing procedures, particularly within the ERP system and the closing process.

• Ensure adherence to global accounting policies, procedures, and internal processes.

• Assist with audit activities and regulatory filings during quarter and year-end periods.

⛳️ Requirements

• CA, CPA, or ACCA equivalent qualification.

• 3 to 4 years of experience in a Record to Report / GL function, ideally within an MNC.

• Practical experience with month-end closing operations and operational accounting.

• Familiarity with Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP.

• Knowledge of TDS/withholding tax, GST, Companies Act, and various regulatory filings.

• Capability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a proactive manner to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle or SAP.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience with Big4 audit/accounting firms is preferred.

• Awareness of the latest AI tools and Power Query.

• Understanding of accounting and compliance requirements for APAC countries besides India.
