Senior Accountant – General Ledger

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of month-end closing responsibilities from start to finish: preparing and posting journal entries, managing GL schedules, and reconciling significant accounts.

• Ensure the month-end and year-end closing processes are executed accurately and on time.

• Contribute to monthly financial reporting, including performing variance analysis and addressing inquiries from business partners.

• Assist with the annual audit by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and guaranteeing that documentation is ready for audit.

• Support M&A integration reporting and provide technical accounting for acquisition transactions.

• Help keep accounting policies and standard operating procedures current.

• Promote process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, suggesting solutions, and implementing enhanced tools and controls.

• Manage ad hoc reporting requests and special projects as they arise.

• Report directly to the GL Manager and collaborate with teams across Accounting and Finance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant position.

• CPA certification or CPA eligibility is preferred.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP.

• Practical experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.

• Advanced Excel proficiency and a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities within a multi-entity closing process and M&A activities.

• Excellent communication skills and comfort in a cross-functional work environment.

• This role can be performed fully remotely from anywhere in the US.
