Senior Accountant, General Ledger Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to the General Ledger Accounting function along with other finance and accounting duties.

• Ensure that accounting processes are accurate and efficient.

• Oversee expenses and work collaboratively with teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Play a role in enhancing accounting efficiencies and support year-end audit processes.

• Uphold the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.

• Prepare and analyze necessary documentation while engaging with external auditors during the year-end audit.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• 4 - 6 years of professional experience in general ledger accounting, corporate accounting, or a similar capacity.

• Familiarity with GAAP, reporting standards, and the ability to investigate and resolve accounting issues.

• Experience with corporate month-end closing processes.

• Proficient in Excel and Accounting Systems (NetSuite).

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to articulate identified issues and propose effective solutions.
